Eighth Grade history covers the early years of the United States going through the Civil War and into Reconstruction. We will cover from around the late 1700s and end in in the late 1800s. We will study the formations of our government, the challenges our nation faced and the divisions that eventually led to civil war. As a class we will ask historical questions and investigate the past in an attempt to understand how these events have shaped our present. The links to the right will provide you with access to assignments, study resources, and review games. Also, please follow the class blog to stay up to date on what we do in class, or to get caught up if you miss a day in class.
For this class you will need a composition notebook that you will leave in class for Do Now activities and writing assignments. You will also need a binder to keep your work and notes for you to take home and study for quizzes and tests, as well as to keep your work organized.
