Today students were introduced to our next unit, Ancient India. Students were given a new study guide with the key terms for the unit and the important questions that they should be able to answer by the end of the unit. As a note, most of the key terms are bold and highlighted in the text book, or found in the glossary.  Some of the terms are not bold and not in the glossary, bu they are located in the text of the chapter. So students will have to do some reading to find it.

Once we had introduced students to the unit we then began a timeline project. Students, working in pairs, had to use the events worksheet and list the items in numerical order. Once they successfully put the events in the correct order groups were given a large sheet of paper to create their timeline. All the events from the worksheet were put on the timeline, and then students picked seven of the events to illustrate (though they are able to do more if time allows). At the end of glass groups turned in what they had finished of their timeline, and we will continue them on Thursday.
