Day in Review:
We started class on Thursday with a vocabulary builder exercise and review of the homework. Following that the idea of constructing an academic argument was introduced, advice was discussed pointing out common mistakes and misconceptions, and suggestions were provided for how to create a claim, providing evidence and reasoning as well as presenting counterpoints. Students were then given a series of questions that students were researched and constructed an argument to answer the questions.
On Friday we completed our vocabulary quiz, and then continued working on the argument assignment.
