Day in Review:
Today we began with a vocabulary builder Do Now to define some common vocabulary and identify antonyms and synonyms. We then began reading chapter 4 of the text book and completing a guided reading worksheet as we went. Any students who missed the yest on Monday or who needed additional time completed the test today. Homework was to complete a portion of the guided reading (2nd hour finish lesson 1; 3rd and 6th finish page 1).
Assignments and Resources:
Students in small groups (or as a class for 3rd period) began reading chapter 4 of the text book. As student read they followed along in their guided reading sheet to answer the questions about ancient Mesopotamia. Students were directed to finish a portion of the guided reading as homework depending on how far the class got (2nd period must finish Lesson 1 of the guided reading, 3rd and 6th period were required to finish the first page of the guided reading).
